I wish we could speak to the designers of he future Treos, so the voice of the clients is taken into account, in future designs:
How would you like a Flip Treo, with a LARGER KEYBOARD in a half, and a LARGE WIDE SCREEN in the other half, with a scroll wheel to move the text or drawings or whatever up & down to be able to see large drawings, abd grasp them?, and stop that horrible e-reader that does not permit to SCROLL, except in a page per page basis.
A Treo that would be accesible from Windows, as a USB Memory drive, in which ou could see the files, with comprensible extensions, to be exchanged between the PC & the Treo, or even better with Mobile Windows, insetad of that mess called the Palm OS?, so you could drag files between them with understandable but CLEAR LIMITATIONS & RULES?
Even more a Treo with choice among OS`s like Palm OS, Mobile windows, Linux or whatever?

I've read at least one case of this happening in the forums and it happens on my 650 as well. There is no option in General Preferences under phone that allows you to turn off the blinking LED. Curious as to why this is the case.

There was a firmware upgrade that enabled this option. you must have an old Treo without the newer firmware.

In iSync 2.4 I have enabled Palm Syncing and my Treo 755P is connected to my G4 (running OS X 10.4.10) . But when I try to Add a Device I get the error message "No device found."
Suggestions?

Had to jump thru hoops to abbreviate my signature as there is some hard limit on number of characters. Kind of surprising to see this in a modern device.

you may be sending messages to a phone other than a Treo with a large memory to a phone such as an old LG 3100 with very limited memory and limited capabilities. so the limit is not on your modern device they make it so that it is compatable with all other phones still out there.That is why they limit text messages to 160 characters. Thanks Chris. I have an icon that I like to put in each email and it takes a little while to draw and it would not save in the "my quick messages" . Thanks for showing me how to do this so I save time sending messages and still get my fun little thing in too. Stumpymd -^..^-

My Treo 600 was lost for a week while i was in the mountains and when i found it, the battery was of course dead and upon charging it up, it automatically performed (what i think to be) a Zero Reset, based on your description above. The problem is I havent synced it with my PC in over a month and the text messages and contacts that i have acquired seem to be erased/ So a have two questions:
1) is there any sort of trick or hack out there that will allow me to dig out or recover that data from the phone it self?
2) if not, is there some sort of database or archive through my service provider (Sprint) that will allow me to access that information or have it sent to me, as one might have a list of calls made in the past month sent to them?
Thanks. I really need that data. Please help.

As far as phone calls, you should have access to your detailed billing. I know I can access mine through Cingular online. This would be one way to retrieve those contacts. As far as text messages, I really don't have a clue . . Sorry I couldn't help more . .

On my Sprint Treo 700p, I can get the easter egg symbol to show up, but no taxi. I get the easter egg by drawing a small circle right above the "Tips" button.

I ahve just inherited a Treo 600 and can't global search from my contacts without the unit doing a soft reset. It will quickly show me a couple of entries then shut down and restart itself. Is this a common problem? I don't have any other software on it.

I have a Treo 600. And once in a while if my phone battey goes crtitically low and shutsdown. But then the onlt way to bring everything back up is to soft reset it. But some times it will soft reset itself and all data is lost.
I could handle that once in a while, But now wthout a warning it just stoped working and it does not matter what I do
it only loads the logo screen and the logo screen stays on forever until I hit sof reset and it reboots with the logo screen
again and stays that way.
Have you ever seen or heard of this?
Any help will be appreciated.
