Treo 650 LED
The LED in the upper left corner of the phone can be set to blink green in the coverage area, for information about other LED states and colors see KB #39519 at palm.
The freeware program "LedOff" can be used to turn off or alter the LED's behaviour as can some shareware programs such as "Butler" from Hobbyist Software. It appears that some TREO 650 phones have a "blink green LED when in coverage" option under general preferences" from the phone screen. If its there and you alter the value then the device will have to be powered off, then back on to change to your new setting.

I've read at least one case of this happening in the forums and it happens on my 650 as well. There is no option in General Preferences under phone that allows you to turn off the blinking LED. Curious as to why this is the case.
